Background & Education

Lisa received her BA in English Literature from University of California, Los Angeles and completed her MA in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychotherapy at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, California. She is trained in dream work, myth, symbols/images, and shadow work within the Depth tradition, as well as Ketamine and MDMA-Assisted Therapies.

Her clinical background spans a variety of settings and treatment modalities. Early in her career, Lisa first gained her clinical experience in community-based mental health services, where she led person-centered support groups for cancer patients and their loved ones. She also worked as an academic and executive function coach, providing specialized support to children and adolescents with ADHD and learning differences. Lisa also has experience as a behavior interventionist using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and as a play therapist, supporting children and families through developmentally informed, relational interventions. She is trained in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, integrating preparation, and dosing-session support within an ethical, client-centered framework.

Lisa participated as a clinician in the MAPS Phase III clinical trial for MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge trauma treatment. This work deepened her understanding of how trauma affects the brain and body, strengthened her commitment to research-informed care, and honed her skills in safely integrating emerging therapeutic modalities. Her involvement in this pioneering work informs her approach today, combining evidence-based strategies with compassion, relational attunement, and a respect for each person’s innate healing wisdom and expertise in their own journey.

When she’s not in sessions, Lisa enjoys long walks with her dog, Pilates, camping, concerts, and trying new restaurants. She values sharing time with friends and family, and finds a great deal of healing and grounding in new experiences and travel.

Whether you identify as neurodivergent or are coping with mental health struggles, these experiences can bring both strengths and barriers—from managing focus, sensory regulation, or intrusive thoughts to navigating mood, trauma responses, and emotional overwhelm.

In therapy, we’ll combine practical strategies with deeper emotional and relational insight, helping you build resilience, self-understanding, and meaningful ways of relating to yourself and others.

I hold a collaborative space where you can explore and discover what works for you. My goal is to help you feel confident in your ability to tackle challenges, trust your own judgment, and move forward with greater clarity and ease.

I’d love to learn more about you and your therapeutic needs. Whenever you’re ready, I invite you to schedule a complimentary consultation.
